The site is now complete and ready for members to join. Hopefully, the original genre will attract interest and we'll get this place running in no time. Until then I'll stop by regularly to check on it's status and to see some new faces.
April 23, 2008 - Site Nearly Complete
The site is almost complete and ready to be opened. All we need now is to finish a few forms, place a few graphics, and create the plot so we can finish things up. Once this is done we will begin to get ready for new members to arrive and such.
The Rules You'll find the rules here and anything else you possibly need to know. Make sure to take a look at them, you'll find the bio board password here. Also, it would be in your best interest to read them, 'I didn't know' isn't acceptable around here. They also keep you safe from those lurking staff members, you wouldn't want one of them jumping into your thread.
News Station This is where you can tune in to get the news, anything that's going on in the board. It can be a simple announcement of the member of the month, all the way to a contest going on. Anything that's happening can be found here.

Biographies (4 sub-boards) All biographies can be found in here, the form to fill out can be found in here as well. Create each character in a seperate thread, please. Also, wait for a staff member to accept your bio before roleplaying.

Staff Lounge This is where the staff come to discuss different topics having to do with the board. It can be about new features all the way to a plot. Anyways, only staff is permitted here, who knows what they can be talking about.

Character Info
The Logs Come here and create a log for your characters. Whether it's just to keep track of what you've been doing, or a way to see into their mind like a book. Only one is needed to hold all of your characters.

The Drama (2 sub-boards) This is the board where you come to make plots or try to start relationships. Just keep yourself entertained and see who's willing to join in the fun.

Nursery (2 sub-boards) Is it blue or pink? Or maybe it's purple or orange? Anyway, when your critters are ready to have a family then stop by here, fill out the form, and wait to see what you get.
Funeral This is where you place your characters that have died during the time of the rp. You can simply state their name(s) or even include how they died, or why. You can also add charries who have simply left Spectrum city, their death isn't required for them to leave.
Club Frenzy is a glorious two story building that has a dangerous edge to it's appearance. It's outer walls are smooth and dark grey, only the neon blue lights from within add any real splash of color. It's a fairly large building, the double door entrance showing only a main hall into the club. It has a slight mystery to it, not really displaying a certain mood. The inside is the same, the bar area being lit with blue lighting and having black metal stools to finish it off. Farther in is the dance floor, empty except for a DJ area raised off the ground, the dance floor itself sunken in to take on the appearance of a pit. There's no telling what it's used for now, though one can only guess. Halls make up the rest of the bottom floor, small storage rooms off to certain walls. The second story is actually where the VIP room is found, though it now houses VIPs of a different species which comes in the form of a pack.
The Puissant Art Gallery was once a fine place for artists to display their works. Now the humans no longer come by to view these works of art, but the place still remains as lovely as ever. The building is two stories, the walls a light beige and covered with various paintings. The floors are a nice marble, but the place seems large, seeing as there's not much to take up space in the building. A few couches and lounging areas are scattered around the building, but it's mostly just empty hall ways displaying the paintings. The outside of the building looks quite the same, light colored brick walls with lettering showing the gallery's name on one side. It was once a place to admire paintings with ranges of colors, but that is no longer the case. This building now belongs to the strays, and that's who it'll remain for some time. They're not here to admire the art, so watch yourself, this place is someone's home now.
No place has more character than this building here, that much is for sure. The Juggernaut lives up to it's name in appearance, the inside looking fierce with it's black coated furniture. The chairs are enormous and the tables are wide, it seems to have a gothic coat to it all. The bar stands proud right in the middle, little lanes dividing to either side. The outside can't possibly prepare you for the wonders within. However, the Juggernaut is more than a bar, it's a two story building that holds what used to be an inn above. Beds remain, the rooms neat as they were left before the humans died out. Alcohol can be found in the storage rooms, and some forms of food can be found if searched hard enough for. This place screams rough and tough attitude, seeming to match the strays it houses in it's very walls. It's large and intimidating when you get in, one can not do anything but expect the strays that live within to match the interior in some fashion.
A place of learning and socializing, was what it once was before the humans were wiped clean from the city. The building is large, but not extremely so, just big enough for an elementary school. The building's outer appearance displays red brick, windows, and glass doors decorating each wall. Little trees and bushes were planted near the entrance, the grass green and lush as it was once well kept. The building is deserted now, of human voice, and is only filled with the furniture they left behind. Desks still sit in classes, books remaining on the shelves of the library supply, and some amount of food can be found in the cafeteria. It's a wonderful place, the tile floor clean and bright, though it's growing dull with the lack of human care. Things appear a bit more messy, as new 'students' have taken up it's halls. The halls are now filled with their calls, and the empty rooms are now their homes.
The junkyard, what more can be said about this place besides the fact that it's littered with worthless items that have lost their use years ago. Old, beat up cars can be found all around the lot, some even stacked up on one another. Piles of garbage also find their place in certain areas, though some may contain an item or two that can catch one's interest. However, it's not very safe to go running around here, everything isn't exactly 'stable'. Some areas may stink of a foul odor and others may offer a nice place to rest. Either way, it's not all that beautiful in appearance, but it seems to have it's uses nonetheless. You would also have to watch out for those strays who seem to claim the area, it's actually quite common.
This park is something the eye can not simply resist. Looking much like something Eden would be akin to, with it's lush grass and beautiful plants. It hasn't fallen prey to the lack of human care, mother nature more than happily filling in for the missing attention. The ponds still remain full, and the fish continue to happily swim in their homes. The little brides remain standing, while the concrete pathways are slowly swallowed by the surrounding grass. The trees stand tall and strong, the whole park showing a beauty it could not have reached with simple human care. It looks much more like something you would find in a forest, and the strays seem to love it's uniqueness to the rest of the iron jungle. It's peaceful and relaxing, the exact place you would want to take a stroll in.
The markets are filled with colors and wonderful aromas, or at least they once were when the humans attended them. Yet, there are still some edible products laying around, such as meats that were well preserved. The carts and stands still hold the markets' figure, making it appear as large and intimidating as ever. The ground is littered with trash, but it seems fairly clean for being on the streets. Blankets and mats of various kinds can be found on the floor, were humans once sold their produce. Little shops remain open to strays that wish to look around and poke at whatever still remains. It seems quiet now, no longer filled with the quick steps and bustling of the humans searching for todays groceries. However, the strays seem to see it as good shelter from the harsh elements.
A maze of dark alleys is what you'll find in this part of town. The entrances are very thin, allowing only one dog at a time to pass through. However, as you enter into the heart of them you'll find it allows more moving room as the alleys connect to one another. Trash is common here, seeing as the trash cans are set to one side of the doors, where the humans used to through everything. Now you may find cardboard boxes and many other items littering the floor. The alleys are dark, only a single light every now and then showing up to allow you some direction. The floors are moist, and shadows constantly play along the walls. This is not the place you want to be alone, you never know what's making these alleys it's playground.
Gentle waves and the sound they create as they crash against the shore, it's just pure relaxation. The water is a clear blue and the sand is golden, the palm trees lining the entire beach, seeming to carry on for miles. It almost seems like a paradise, clear skies and the sound of pure silence. Little seashells and such can be found here and there, though some creatures of the sea are best left alone. It's a good place just to get away from things, especially when you just wish to feel the warm sand beneath your paws. It's peaceful here, it's not truly known why but it just seems to put the most vicious of souls at ease. The surroundings are serene and don't call for conflict, only a storm would be able to disrupt this beautiful picture and it's wonderful spell.
As you walk farther away from the city you begin to notice just how much more peaceful things get. As you grow farther away you'll notice a small dirt road winding in one direction. Disappearing off behind trees and large bushes, radiant greenery following it's path. It looks exactly like mother nature intended, not touched by the human hand like the park is. No, this is all mother nature's doing and it looks glorious. This road stretches on for miles, leaving every trace of the city behind and taking you in to the country. There's a big difference between the two, something you'll notice right off. Game is large in this area, as long as you have the skills required to hunt it down. It's like something from a painting, only you have the privilege of experiencing it.
You've just gone as far as the road can take you, and now you find yourself face to face with this place. Nothing but fields is what comes into sight, nothing put grass spreading on for thousands of acres. Hills can be seen in the distance, suggesting that maybe there's something hidden behind them. There are some fence posts still standing around this area, showing that the land had once been divided into property before mother nature reclaimed it. Some of the barbwire is still standing, and proves a danger. However, some give entrances to travelers and gives them the opportunity to go running through the fields. Various flowers can be found scattered around, while some areas are just full of grass that can easily stand taller than you, hiding you from view of your friends.
It almost seems like there's nothing out here, as if the human hands couldn't reach this far out. It takes you a good walk but in time you'll find a large barn sitting out in the middle of the forest. It seems to sit in a fairly large clearing, old and warn down as it appears to have been built long ago. The red color has completely faded, leaving it to nothing more than different shades of brown. Some areas are broken, yet the windows and stairs still remain in fairly good shape. It seems a bit eerie at first, lonely even. The inside doesn't look any better, but it does appear a little more welcoming than the outside appearance. It seems like an ideal home, seeing as the surrounding forest gives it a slight appeal.
